- This collection of articles of the 22nd national tax law conference, held in 1998 in Brazil, are dedicated to exemptions. Four themes are discussed: tax exemption and electronic books, the question how to interpret the clause "considerations and requisites of the law", persistant in article 150, VI,c of the federal constitution; the interpretation of the expression "related interests as final purposes", as mentioned in par. 4 of article 150 of the federal constitution; the question if the limitations of par. 3 of article 155 of the federal constitution are applicalble to social security contributions
