- Since 1960, the Belgian tax administration has provided for a special tax treatment for foreign executives temporarily in Belgium, and the particular provisions, which were amended several times, were substantially changed in 1979. Because the Supreme Court ruled in 1981 that the provisions establishing the special tax treatment have no legal force and could not be subject to a court decision, the Belgian Government issues a new directive in 1983. This note discusses the new directive
