A number of developing countries are encouraging foreign investments as an additional source of financing their development. Incentives are being provided in order to attract such investments. This study researches the tax systems in those countries which attempt to encourage foreign investment, in order to determine whether the prevalent tax systems encourage or discourage foreign investment. The scope of this study is limited to the countries India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong
