Summary
Many countries are looking into ways of adjusting their tax systems to offer relief to companies in financial distress, either through loosening some of their tax restrictions or enacting more favourable regimes. Changes to the Belgian legislation include the Continuity Act (in force as from 1 April 2009), which assists companies with judicial restructuring in a court of law. This article discusses the transfer pricing aspect of the waiver of debt, a feature embedded in this new Act
